Industries / GovTech, Defence & Critical Infrastructure
For systems that cannot fail quietly.
Government, defence, and infrastructure platforms run obligations where a missed clause-driven deadline can trigger eight-figure liquidated damages. Bonvo works at that standard: multi-tenant, auditable, zero-downtime, incident-ready.
The problem
The reality of these systems
A legacy core that everyone is afraid to touch — but that is now the primary reliability risk.
Multi-tenant data where a context-restoration bug is a security incident, not a glitch.
Compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR) that has to be engineered in, not bolted on.
Migrations that cannot afford a single maintenance window.
What Bonvo brings
What Bonvo brings
Zero-downtime modernization
Live replacement of the systems you can't turn off — strangler-pattern rewrites, dual-running, verified cutovers, and multi-tenant context restoration.
Security with an offensive mindset
Authentication, session and authorization architecture reviewed by someone who files pre-disclosure vulnerability reports — framed for your ISO 27001 processes.
Reliability & incident command
Async job substrates and long-running pipelines built to be observable and restartable, with production incident command when it matters most.
Track record
Grounded in confidential-client work
Since 2023, Bonvo's founder has been the platform-architecture engineer on a contract-intelligence platform used by governmental, defence, and infrastructure clients — including work behind systems referenced for WHO, UNICEF and NEOM. He replaced a legacy job orchestration layer live (10,787 LOC, 50+ jobs, multi-tenant, zero downtime), commands production incidents, and has filed four pre-disclosure security reports in 30 days. Clients are confidential; the standard is not.
What colleagues say
I had the pleasure of working with Gergely over the past 3.5 years, and he consistently stood out for his collaborative spirit and genuine team-first mindset. He is the kind of person who lifts those around him, is always eager to learn, is quick to support his colleagues, and is unfailingly positive in his approach. One project that showcased his capabilities was the Celery project, where he took on the substantial task of rewriting a legacy Job Server into a modern system. He delivered this with zero downtime, ensuring complete business continuity throughout — a testament to his diligence and commitment. Beyond the technical work, what I valued most was Gergely's attitude. He brings energy, humility, and a real willingness to grow, and he makes any team better simply by being part of it, and I recommend him warmly.
The practice scales
One architect accountable. A team when the job needs it.
Bonvo is led hands-on by one senior architect. But you are never limited to one pair of hands: the practice scales a vetted senior team up to the size a job requires — and back down when it's done — without ever changing who owns the outcome.
One accountable owner
Every engagement is owned end to end by Gergely Kovács — the architect who does the work, commands the incident, and signs off on the result. That never changes.
A senior bench, on demand
When a build needs more hands, Bonvo assembles a vetted team of senior engineers scaled to the job — from a solo rescue to a full squad — and stands it down when the work is done.
No bench-warming, no dilution
You pay for the size the problem needs, not a fixed team. The standard stays senior; the outcome stays owned by one person.
Bring the problem as it actually is.
